So a few days ago Bright Creations turned the big 3! On April 8th 2008 at precisely 9 a.m., Bright Creations was born. It’s an exciting and emotional moment for us.
Looking back at the last 3 years, I can’t help but smile at what we have achieved. We started out in a tiny windowless room, in a shared office with 3 desks, 4 people and a determination to build a company that would do great things. Yes, we have had our share of hurdles as do all companies – we survived a global recession, and now we survived the Egyptian Revolution. When you draw up business plans, these things are generally not in the annex let alone in the strategy! Even given these events, we are continuously thriving and we’re here for the long haul.
Today, we have grown exponentially thanks to the determination, skills and moral fibre of every person at Bright Creations. From 4 people, we now have a strong team of 20 people and we’re constantly growing. Our team of developers have grown in number and in experience and have conquered every challenge thrown their way. Online products, mobile products, company websites, eCommerce, CRM, HR, finance, call centres, document management and systems integration are some of the many types of projects we’ve taken on. Our team of designers have their elegant designs which speak for themselves. If a picture is worth a thousand words, then I think their designs are worth millions. I am always impressed by what we can do and our clients have high expectations of us and we have yet to disappoint. Our Linux system administrators are one of the pillars on which Bright Creations is based, they have built the infrastructure of our network and they are the critical designers and problem solvers for our servers and that of our clients. Our systems analysts, the latest joiners to our crew, have bridged the gap between our clients work and our projects – it’s not the simplest of tasks and I’m proud of what we have achieved.
So where exactly are we today? Bright Creations is now an award-winning and fully fledged software house providing high quality solutions in Egypt and abroad. Our technologies have grown and we now work with Java and PHP, every open source CMS including eCommerce and all the necessary Linux distributions for what we need. As a sworn Java advocate, I’m glad to say that PHP is now a new tool in our toolbox. We have broken into a number of industries and now work in several sectors including financial services, insurance, healthcare, fashion & jewellery, hotels & hospitality, fine arts, media & publications and finally NGO’s. Our client portfolio has grown to over 20 companies; a sample of which can be found on our projects page. It doesn’t have the full list as our policy is to only announce projects once they have been delivered but they’ll be up there pretty soon!
As I sit here and write this, I know that we are where we are supposed to be, and the world is our oyster, in 2012 we will be a larger company yet again – in terms of our portfolio and our team.
