New Twitter and WhatsApp Features

We’re constantly exposed to new and exciting chat and social media features, from video messaging to voice calls to being able to send videos and pictures with the greatest of ease and so much more.

This week there were two major updates, one is that of Twitter.

Twitter has relocated the “what’s happening” box – that was previously located on the left hand side, between the profile box and the list of trends – to the top of the timeline.

This feature allows users to tweet as well as stay updated with their followers’ tweets; it’s also very similar to Facebook’s “What’s on your mind” box.

On the other hand, we have WhatsApp’s new feature that no one seems to be mentioning at all, except for the very detail-oriented people who noticed the new feature.

We all know that when we send a text on WhatsApp, a tick means it’s sent and two ticks means it got delivered but now the two ticks turn blue when the text is read, what a sneaky sneaky move! Goodbye to dodging messages without getting caught!

This feature maybe annoying to some people, however others might find it very useful.

To the people who don’t really care for this cleverly hidden feature, there’s a loophole, just don’t open the chat and the person you’re trying to avoid won’t know whether you read it or not; watch out WhatsApp, we can be sneaky too!

New features are always a very exciting event in our techy lives, whether good or bad.
