1)    Apple Releases A New iPhone Update That Solves One of The Major Frustrations with iOS 8:

As an iPhone user, you can obviously agree with the rest of the world that there are certain issues with iOS 8 that disturbed you greatly with the latest update since it was released.

iOS 8.1.3 addresses and supposedly fixes these issues along with a major issue which was that users had to have 5 GB to successfully download and install iOS 8; the new update reduces the amount of storage required to install software updates.

 

2)    Apple Experiences Best Sales Quarter Yet:

Apple’s sales have increased beyond expectations this quarter; the company sold a record of 74.5 million iPhones which is much higher than the estimated 66.5 million.

However, the iPhone’s success came at the expense of the iPad tablet; with many people demanding a larger screen iPhone over a tablet which caused the iPad’s sales to drop immensely.

 

3)    Snapchat Unveils Its New Discover Feature:

Snapchat just launched its new Discover feature; it is collaboration with several media companies such as Yahoo News, CNN, Vice, National Geographic and Comedy Central to bring news to users in the form of Snapchat stories.

Snapchat news stories will remain for 24 hours before disappearing – typical Snapchat behavior.

It could very well compete with Facebook in providing links and news stories to users.

 

4)    Apple Opens A Gorgeous New Store In China

As you know, Apple just had a very fruitful quarter and China was a major part of the company’s immense success.

According to recent estimates by UBS, China is becoming one of the largest markets for iPhones.

The plan is to have 40 stores operating in China by 2016.

 

5)    Google Glass Gets A Reboot

Google announced that it will restructure and change its leadership and that Glass is being moved out of Google’s experimental X labs to be a stand-alone product.

It was going to be labeled as a failed product after the company failed to address its future during the keynote of its last developers conference in June 2014.

Now it will be retooled and released as a finished product.
