Facebook Timeline – Listing Your Page Fans & Likes

The Facebook Timeline has been out for a while, and yes, they’ve done some frustrating changes for the marketing professional that was used to a certain ways of doing things.

Ever wondered, how do I find my Facebook likes and fans on my page? . Here’s a quick trick for you.

If you don’t have a vanity URL for your page, then it’s easy. Just enter the following URL in your browser:

https://www.facebook.com/browse/page_fans/?page_id=

and append the ID of your page.

Note that this does not work for vanity URLs. i.e., with our Facebook URL of http://www.facebook.com/bcegypt – we have a vanity URL. The following will not work:

https://www.facebook.com/browse/page_fans/?page_id=bcegypt

It ends up showing some random server confused error (quite an odd message pretty much saying, what the hell do you think you’re doing)

Now to overcome this for your vanity url, you can do the following.

  • Load your page, logged in as the admin
  • Click “show” to show the admin panel
  • In the bottom left corner, there is a “New Likes” section. Next to that there is a “see all” link. Right click on the see all link and copy the link address, (it should be something like: http://www.facebook.com/browse/page_fans/?page_id=123456)
  • Use the page_id found in the previous URL mentioned e.g. https://www.facebook.com/browse/page_fans/?page_id=12345
