So while most people were enjoying the long weekend last week, maybe rushing off to Alexandria, El Gouna, Nuweiba or pretty much anywhere else but Cairo, I found myself suddenly with a little bit of time to enjoy some good old fashioned programming.
So my techie side took over and I decided I was going to build an Android app in an afternoon. So to keep things simple, I built a notepad app with a little bit of help from google’s tutorial to see just how easy it was. The result – Bright Notes

The app isn’t exactly going to dazzle you, there are hundreds of notepad apps out there – the aim of my little exercise was to see whether Android really was that easy to develop apps for. The conclusion? Writing android apps is absolute bliss! It’s easier to write something for Android that it is to make a cup of coffee with milk and two sugars. Not only that, but it’s very enjoyable!
So, what does this mean for Bright Creations? We’ll be building more and more android apps over the coming year!
