Social Network Trends

The demographic trends of the social network platforms of today are out; a new report released by Business Insider reveals the shifting trend of social networks.

Here’s what we have so far:

1)      Women in the U.S. use Facebook more than men by 10 percent.

2)      More teenagers are using Facebook this year than they did last year making it the top social network for teens in U.S.

3)      Facebook and Twitter have lost their edge a little towards Instagram; many teens claim that Instagram has flown up to the highest in their social network priorities list.

4)      LinkedIn is more popular among adults; those between 30 and 49 and well-educated lean more towards LinkedIn than Twitter.

5)      Twitter’s demographic is starting to lean more towards male users with 22% of men using Twitter while only 15% of women do.

6)      YouTube reached more adults aged 18 to 34 than single cable TV network.

7)      Snapchat is the youngest social network ever with the age group ranging from 18 to 24 years old.
